This past Saturday, on February 22nd, Flint Hill hosted a fantastic afternoon of fun and discovery at the Community Festival. From 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Upper School Commons, families and members of the Flint Hill communities learned and engaged with various kinds of cultures. Huskies had the opportunity to celebrate all the amazing things that make the Flint Hill community special. Guests were able to explore different cultures through delicious food, exciting performances, and hands-on activities.

Here is a list of all of the activities that took place:

• Global Flavors: People got to taste delicious foods from all around the world!
• Amazing Performances: stunning performances that took you on “a journey across the globe.”
• Hands-on Fun: Guests went through dance lessons, learned to play drums, listened to captivating stories, and even tried journaling!
  • Bollywood Dance with Rhythmaya: From 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wrijoya Roy from Rhythmaya School of Dance led a fun Bollywood dance workshop. Guests were able to learn about Bollywood culture and experience the joy of dance in a welcoming and supportive environment.
• “What Is Your Story?” Workshop: From 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., guests joined Alysia Dempsey, an author and community builder, for a special workshop. People were able to share their own stories and learn about the stories of others. It was a great way to connect and find inspiration!

This festival was all about bringing people together and celebrating our differences. It was a great opportunity to learn, have fun, and make new friends. The Flint Hill community had the opportunity to discover the world in one exciting event!
