Friday Night Bonfire & Pep Rally on the Hill

By Kori Parker, Section Editor

The Flint Hill annual school pep rally, to start the homecoming weekend off! Filled with laughter, smiles, and fun.  Students and faculty all gathered on the football field to celebrate the special weekend. With competitions, games, and of course the epic Class of 2022 entrance, the celebration was enjoyable for all. All of the grades dressed as their designated theme for the day made the pep rally even better, as it brought even more excitement and school spirit. It was definitely a day no one wanted to miss! A quick congratulations to some of the pep rally winners: senior Hudson Eaton and sophomore Mackenzie Swain, who won the musical chairs and pie-eating contests, respectively.

Following the pep rally, Flint Hill students, faculty, and families gathered for the annual bonfire. The bonfire is a traditional event that takes place at the fire pit, near the perimeter of the school property. Everyone, even parents, could say they enjoyed the chilly evening, with the warmth coming from large flames. If you were not able to attend the bonfire this year, don’t forget to go next year, as it is an amazing event and opportunity to socialize with friends. Junior Ayden Laster greatly enjoyed his bonfire experience, saying that “the bonfire was a ton of fun, and I’m looking forward to it next year.” It was great having these traditions back after our crazy Covid-19 year! Students, families, and faculty are looking forward to another celebration next year.
