Hey, Flint Hill Huskies. Do you know who loves fashion? Me. Spotted: students at Flint Hill. In this week’s feature, we have freshman Savion Sarkhosh, sophomore Ava Zender, junior Nic Brioché, and senior Sarah Klein. The quote about this issue comes to us from the iconic pop-culture character Carrie Bradshaw. “I like my money right where I can see it—hanging in my closet.” Can you name a more accurate quote for the mindset of (the majority of) FHS students?
Senior Sarah Klein was my first victim in my pursuit of uncovering the fashion trends within our school. Her fashion is a stylistic compilation of many micro-fashion trends in the picture featured above. Sporting the beloved Uggs and Brandy Melville—a staple in any teenage girl’s fall aesthetic—she adds her own touch with (my personal favorite of this outfit) sheer white lacy stockings. If you look up “coquette fall” on Pinterest, Sarah would be the first to see it. Her comfortable and feminine ensemble deserves four stars.
My second target was freshman Savion Sarkhosh. He was spotted wearing a tan and green graphic Bape T-shirt, faded gray cargo pants, and Yeezy foam runners. Inspired by the fashionable American rapper Future, he flaunts a style formula popularly adopted by the students in our school. The casual yet stylish combination makes me give him three and a half stars.
My third mark over the past few weeks was sophomore Ava Zender. Over the summer of 2024, the trend of Adidas shoes continued to grow. She was seen wearing grey Adidas Campus 00s with jean shorts and the continuously popular Abercrombie camo print hoodie. Both the hoodie and sneakers have been an ongoing fashion trend since the beginning of 2024. Her inspiration from TikTok trends and social media influencers combined with her love for the brand Aritzia inspired this outfit. Her solid outfit choice (one I would definitely wear) is deserving of a solid three stars.
My final subject is Nic Brioché, known school-wide for his expressed interest in fashion and consistently trendsetting attire. I found him wearing a hoodie from American singer-songwriter Jhené Aiko’s concert, cargo khakis, and Field Purple Jordan 12s. Staple brands in his closet include Who Decides War, KidSuper, and Off-White. He was quoted as being inspired by ‘life.’ The hoodie, jordans, and khaki pants combo seems to be a common theme amongst the boys at the Flint Hill Upper School. This outfit has some potential, leading me to give it a solid three stars.
That’s all for this week. Until next time.
